Atmosphere | Brigadoon

Saturday 19th October 2013, 7.30 for 8pm.
Inspace, 1 Crichton Street, Edinburgh EH8 9AB

As part of the Year of Natural Scotland we were invited to choose a film for an Atmosphere screening which we felt best represented, misrepresented, imagined or re-imagined Scotland’s natural landscapes. We chose Brigadoon, a divisive and controversial choice.

Shot entirely on a sound stage in Hollywood after director Vincente Minnelli found Scotland wasn't Scottish enough. Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse star in this 1954 MGM musical. Guest augmentoligists include Pyrus and Williams Bros. Anything is possible... even miracles.
