Sanctuary is a public art event within the Dark Sky Park of Dumfries & Galloway. This 24-hour site-specific laboratory explores privacy, identity, place and space beyond the reach of networks. Installations, radio transmissions, screenings and performance serve to create a temporary community.

The Dark Sky Park is a specially designated area that suffers from no light pollution. It is remote, beautiful and crucially for the artists also ‘electronically dark’. At the core of the event will be The Dark Outside FM, a hyper-local radio station that premieres new work and then deletes it.

Auchrannie Resort, Brodick, Isle of Arran KA27 8BZ

Our Atmosphere screening of Sylvain Chomet's 2010 feature film is the first ever expanded cinema experience on board the Screen Machine. We've added a layer of sensory experiences to bring the film to life – from Paris in 1959 to the tastes and smells of a Scottish island.

A love-letter to Scotland which tells the story of a French vaudeville magician who, finding himself out of work, tries his luck in Britain. Finally reaching a remote Scottish island, he meets a young woman who believes that he really can do magic. Devoted to him, she follows him to Edinburgh.
